The Spring Festival World heritage application was successful
On December 4th, Beijing time, China's application for the "Spring Festival - Chinese People's Celebration of the Traditional New Year's Social Practices" was approved at the 19th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Asuncion, Paraguay. With this latest addition, China now has a total of 44 projects listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage names list, ranking first in the world.
